matt-jackowitzNEW PROGRAMS FOR 2015!!!

This is always an exciting time of year at the winter office. With us in the midst of planning for Summer 2015 we have some new additions to our program that we are excited to share with you.

CEL Tennis Academy – Under the direction of Tennis Pros Arup Dutta and Vinod Seth and their staff of nationally ranked college players from around the world, Echo Lake is poised to deliver a superlative tennis program this summer. In addition to leading all of our group activities, electives and tournaments, the Tennis Academy staff will be offering private tennis lessons to our campers. You will need to register your child in advance of camp (further information and registration forms will be e-mailed to you in the next two weeks) and private lessons are available at a $40 per hour fee. See you on the courts!

STEM – Stem is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math education. This summer CEL will have a dedicated specialist to lead classes. Stem is a program aimed to give campers and opportunity to be creators instead of consumers. Some of the activities associated include lego robotics, rocketry, circuitry and model making. In addition to specific activities, our STEM program will also give campers the opportunity to come up with solutions to common problems within the CEL community.

Ice Hockey – With Dan Bedard back at the helm of our hockey program for 2015, we are excited to offer ice time for any campers who would like to participate. Dan will be creating scrimmage as well as instruction opportunities for campers of all ability level. At the Saratoga Ice Rink, just 30 minutes from camp, we will be offering two 90 minutes sessions each week. Information about how to sign up will be available soon.

Lacrosse Intercamps – With all the growth we saw in our Lacrosse program last summer, we are in discussions to participate in boy’s lacrosse games. We will compete against local schools that are well versed in the rules that our campers have been trained in.   Our goal is to create those same competitive opportunities for our girl campers as the interest grows.

We are very excited to share this information with you. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the winter office.

Programatically Yours,

Jacko

Program Director
