Weekly Division Update: Inter Boys
This summer is truly flying by and I can’t stress enough how much fun we are having, and how much I am enjoying getting to know all of our campers. This week has incorporated so many different events and exciting evening activities.
Challenge Night
Each week we have a “Challenge Night” as an evening activity. This week it consisted of an egg drop competition, a handball game, and a 3v3 basketball tournament. The campers were extremely engaged and excited for their chosen events. Our basketball tournament was especially fun and exciting to watch, while our egg drop challenge was hilarious and engaging as always.
LIBW TREK Overnight
On Tuesday night our Lower Inter Boys West group had their TREK overnight. These nights always give the group a chance to unwind and bond around a campfire, and of course s’mores. These overnight trips are such a great change of scenery and a great time to strengthen group dynamics. These boys really had a great time!
Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper
Also on Tuesday night, I spent the evening activity with our Lower Inter Boys East group. We took this activity into the Rec Hall and played a couple games of dodgeball. Our first few match-ups consisted of staff vs. campers, and the campers took the victory each time. All of the staff and campers were so encouraging and supportive of each other, and we all had a blast.
Coming Up…
This coming week we have our big trip to Great Escape along with Carnival! The last two weeks have a ton of fun jam packed into them and I am looking forward to a strong end to summer 2016!
